1,353 Posts. Reaction score. 1,969. #28 · Jun 23, 2015. The o ring is a simple way to make removal of the takedown lever possible for the purpose of FCU removal. Since the major reason for the 320 an 250 to exist is the interchangeability of size and caliber, well they are also sweet fire arms too.
Last night I removed the FCU from my P320 Compact for cleaning. When I was done cleaning, I reinserted the FCU into the frame (easy enough). The difficulty I have is getting the takedown pin back into the hole. I had to be pretty forceful, while turning it, to get it through. Then, I calmed down and looked at what was causing the problem. The guide rod and spring had dropped down covering the take down lever hole. So, I got out a 1/16th inch punch and used it on the opposite side of the hole to just raise up the guide rod and spring and was able to insert the take down lever. And Viola. Back together again.
