Otherwise Verizon wants to default always to mobile network for the phone calls. Even when reception is very poor, like only 1 or 2 bars. When reception is that low, Verizon should allow the phone to utilize wifi calling instead. It sounds like the port didn't complete fully. You should call customer service at 1-800-922-0204 from a landline or another phone and ask them to check on the port status.
